Coldplay - Fix You (Easter 08) - a Reconciliation service slideshow

I put this slideshow together for our Reconciliation services in school during this final week of Lent. It was very much a last minute idea to use this song, but in the end the lyrics were just so apprpriate.

Super slideshow, Bro James. I've long appreciated the spiritual nature of the lyric to this song but you've really brought it to life here. Do you use an Apple Mac to put it together? I've tried PowerPoint which is OK but doesn't always behave itself if you play it on a computer with a different version of PP. Now I tend to find that using any digital video editor produces a better job which can be exported in virtually any format, played on any equipment and have all the music embedded. I'm trying to resist the Apple Mac lobby from friends at the moment! Can't justify the expense for occasional dabblings.
Anyway, good work!

:-) Yes, I do use a Mac... their Keynote presentation software (equiv. of PowerPoint). I export the slideshow (having recorded keystroke gestures in time with the imported music) as a QuickTime .mov file. I found the version of PowerPoint I had offered rather less-than-professional transition effects (esp. their dissolve effect which was heavily pixelated). The newest version may have rectified this.

Thanks.
Do you have this available in a format that could be put on a DVD, and if so would you mind if our church group used it??

We have an upcoming retreat which is an Antioch retreat and would love to use this during our reconciliation service.

Thanks,

Donald

Delighted to be able to help, Donald. I have uploaded it as a QuickTime. mov file to storage space on Windows Live:

That should enable you to download it.

God bless.

Bro. James
