A Prayer of Abandonment by Blessed Charles de Foucauld

In honour of All Souls Day, a beautiful prayer by Blessed Charles de Foucauld that I rediscovered yesterday thanks to a conversation with our former parish priest in Woolton, Liverpool, Mgr. Peter Ryan, who celebrated his 90th birthday last month. We can pray it on behalf of all our deceased, that it may become their prayer:

"...Into your hands I commend my soul... with all the love in my heart, for I love you, Lord... (and) you are my Father."
